2 Separate Collisions Disrupt Traffic On 405 Freeway In Sepulveda Pass

A Sigalert was issued by the California Highway Patrol on Friday morning after two separate collisions, one of them fatal, occurred on the 405 Freeway at the Sepulveda Pass (map), authorities said.

The first crash, on the southbound side of the freeway, involved a white minivan that apparently spun out and caught fire shortly before 6:30 a.m. Two lanes on the southbound side remained blocked after Los Angeles Fire Department personnel extinguished the blaze, Sky5 video showed.
